Sheet metal requires stress reliefHeat treatmentWelded sheet metal structures will require stress relief after being welded. In our very own furnace, we heat the steel to temperatures ranging between 550 and 680 degrees Celsius in a controlled manner before allowing it to cool to a defined temperature. Stress relief annealing prevents any residual stresses of the components from being released later during the mechanical process and assembly, resulting in a distorted component. Because let’s be honest: Nobody wants any crooked parts in their project, do they? Sample references forHeat treatment |
