XXL-sized press frames

Once again, we were able to prove our efficiency by producing two XXL-sized press frames for one of our long-standing customers. The frames are used in the plastics industry.

What's special is how gigantic the dimensions are. With a frame height of over 11 m, a width of over 5 m and weighing 130 t, the logistical demands are extremely high.

Our extraordinary production options in the field of large and heavy machine components provided the basis upon which we were able to successfully complete the job. We were also faced with a number of special challenges when it came to the transport logistics. Transporting components weighing this much is particularly difficult due to the large number of reductions in terms of bridge load capacity. In this case we therefore had to opt for a combined transportation by truck and inland vessel. Being close to the harbor in Dillingen/Saar was a big advantage.

- Production of the welded construction

- Stress relief annealing in our own annealing furnace

- Coating

- Mechanical processing

- Transportation to customer by truck and inland vessel
